My daughter asked at Williams College in a special program. You will receive an interview for Williams and other schools to 27 October shall be sought. This week we received a (special) invitation to attend a house to fulfill. (I guess your Alumni House) in our region for a briefing by the director of admissions at the school 7th October. Do you think that this is important?

I have to disagree a bit with the post. This is a presentation of a one-to-talk-to-one, and is unlikely to be the factor that goes - but at the same time, it's a chance for them to make a good impression with a school officer influential, in addition to the collection of information to monitor in detail questions in the interview.
